Paul Wright, Sky Digital Media's director of sales, is leaving the company later this month. This follows the recent appointment at Sky of Giles Ivey, former Times Media digital commercial director, who took on some of Wright's duties in a restructure.
Niaz Samadizadeh has been made head of creative solutions at CNBC Europe, overseeing a London-based team of 13. Previously, he was head of news at CNBC Europe.
The Search Works has hired Nick Lane, former vice-president of Thomson Business Intelligence, as its agency sales director. Lane will be responsible for pursuing opportunities in new markets and adding big brands to the firm's portfolio.
Kinetic Mobile, the mobile marketing and advertising arm of WPP that launched in the UK this year, has appointed Richard Metcalf as business development director. He previously worked in business development roles at the Mobile Interactive Group and Minick.
Bauer Media has appointed Marco Nadotti to the newly created post of head of video acquisition and syndication. Nadotti joins from video search engine Blinkx, where he was director of content acquisition.
Michael Ghosh, head of UK and Nordic sales at Disney-backed children's TV broadcaster Jetix, has been promoted to the role of pan-European ad sales director. He has been with Jetix Europe since 2002 and has played a major role in increasing the UK channel's ad sales revenue.
Vibrant Media, the contextual advertising outfit, has hired Jonathan Baron as vice-president of international sales from Microsoft Advertising's multinational sales force for the US, EMEA and Asia.
