BP has become the latest tier-one partner for the London 2012 Olympics in a deal estimated to be worth £50m.
As the official oil and gas partner and London 2012's third sustainability partner, BP will provide fuelling facilities for the vehicles required for the Games.
In addition, it will supply gas for catering, as well as vehicle-washing facilities and technical support services, including a system for tracking and reporting carbon emissions.
BP joins Lloyds TSB, EDF Energy, BA, BT and Adidas as a tier-one domestic partner for the event.
The oil company aims to support the Cultural Olympiad by building on its existing programmes in arts, culture and education. It will run a series of supporting exhibitions and outreach work across the UK.
