Ex-MySpace man joins Shine board
PR Week UK, Thursday, 24 April 2008, 6:00am,
MySpace's recently departed EMEA director of communications has resurfaced as a board director at Shine Communications.
Chris McCafferty left MySpace and Fox Interactive Media in February after a comms restructure. He is due to start at Shine imminently, although the agency has yet to confirm which accounts he will oversee.
McCafferty spent 16 months leading the comms team at Rupert Murdoch's digital division after a stint as head of PR and corporate affairs at MSN UK. Previously, he was a director at the Red Consultancy. Shine creative director Rana Reeves highlighted McCafferty's experience in 'social media, big brand and corporate'.
Separately, Shine has won a consumer brief to promote lads' magazine Nuts.
