ITV interactive head Mark Rosenegk departs

LONDON - ITV's head of sponsorship and interactive sales, Mark Rosenegk, has left after less than a year in the role, dealing a blow to the broadcaster's interactive TV strategy.
Rosenegk took charge of ITV's red-button sales operation last August following the departure of head of interactive sales Peter Manten.
Rosenegk's existing role as head of sponsorship at ITV was expanded to include responsibility for red-button advertising, iTV programme sponsorship and the broadcaster's 24/7 interactive services menu.
ITV declined to comment on his departure. He is not thought to have another job to go to.
Last October, ITV was forced to suspend red-button voting during all live programmes after a review by Deloitte identified serious technical faults that meant viewers were being charged without their votes being counted.
ITV is currently attempting to resuscitate interest in interactive TV advertising by producing a guide to help media agencies promote the medium to potential advertisers.
