DIRECT: Teacher training body hunts shop to lure graduates
The Teacher Training Agency (TTA) is planning a DM campaign to help
combat the shortage of graduates entering the profession.
The TTA has called a pitch for the work, to be handled by COI
Communications.
It will see the agency teaming up with the Universities and Colleges
Admissions Service (UCAS) to target physics, chemistry, maths and modern
languages students to encourage them to consider a teaching career.
Shortlisted agencies will be asked to demonstrate how they can persuade
prospects to find out more about becoming a teacher. Marketing for the
TTA is headed by Geof Webb, who joined earlier this year.
