IPC tx hands £3m activity to Walsh Trott Chick Smith
IPC tx, the publisher of TV listings magazines TV Times and What's
on TV, has hired ad agency Walsh Trott Chick Smith to help boost the
circulation of its titles.
IPC tx chose Walsh Trott for the £3m account from a shortlist that
included M&C Saatchi, Partners BDDH and Roose & Partners. Incumbent
Delaney Lund Knox Warren did not repitch.
Walsh Trott will be charged with producing TV ads for TV Times and TV &
Satellite Week and press ads for What's on TV, the best-selling magazine
in the sector. It will also develop ideas for the rest of its portfolio,
including Soaplife.
What's on TV's year-on-year sales performance was static at about 1.7
million, according to August's ABCs, while TV Times had slumped by 10%
to 637,000.
IPC tx's media buying account is held by Walker Media, while its
below-the-line work is handled by sister agency LIDA.
