ITV gets serious with new schedule

LONDON - ITV has unveiled a factual-led Spring/Summer programming schedule for ITV1.
Today’s announcement is the latest part of ITV’s new programming strategy, following the launch earlier this year of a nightly weekdays drama slot and an entertainment-led weekend schedule.
New factual programmes for Spring/Summer include documentaries Black Market Britain, NHS Life and Death and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
ITV1 will also feature factual series Martin Clunes: One Man And His Dogs, plus three-part documentary Griff Rhys Jones: Greatest Cities of the World.
ITV will also continue its focus on airing US drama, following the launch of Dexter and Bionic Woman, with Pushing Daisies to air on ITV1.
Entertainment programmes lined up include Marco’s Best Ever British Meal and the return of Britain’s Got Talent. ITV is also to air a studio karaoke programme called Fever Pitch.
