GSK hires Red Door for gum health push

GlaxoSmithKline has hired healthcare specialist Red Door Communications to handle consumer PR for its mouthwash brand Corsodyl.

Red Door is charged with rolling out a PR campaign to promote a positive approach to gum health without ‘scaremongering’. Gum disease currently affects three out of every four adults over 35 in the UK.

As part of its brief Red Door is charged with promoting the brand and driving product sales. Red Door’s business unit director Jane Seaton will report into GSK Corsodyl brand manager Karina Pyne. Pyne said: ‘We were keen to highlight to consumers the importance of looking after the health of their gums.’
