Formula One team TWR Arrows has parted company with commercial
director Hugh Morgan after 15 months.
It is not known whether Morgan, who joined from rugby union club
Harlequins in September last year, has a job to go to. He was
unavailable for comment as Marketing went to press.
An Arrows spokeswoman said it had not decided whether Morgan would be
replaced. Head of marketing Steve Hood now reports to Arrows team
principal Tom Walkinshaw.
The Arrows team, whose sponsors include title backer mobile phone giant
Orange and Red Bull, is involved in a legal spat with Coral Eurobet,
which backed the team in a deal worth around £8m until the end of
the current season. Arrows is claiming Coral still owes the team a
significant amount of unpaid sponsorship money.
Last week it emerged that rival F1 team Benetton had lost its third
commercial chief in less than 18 months. Carsten Schneider is understood
to have left the company without a job to go to.
