LONDON - Unilever has announced a 6.1% jump in fourth-quarter sales beating analyst forecasts while full year sales grew by 5.5%.
The consumer goods giant, which owns brands including Hellmann's, Knorr and Dove, said it had achieved growth through its strategy of concentrating resources on developing and emerging markets, personal care - its fastest growing category - and 'vitality focused' innovation.
Innovation activity in Europe included the introduction of Frusi frozen yoghurt, low calories Solero Smoothies and extensions to the Dove brand such as Dove pro age for older women.
