Public Sector: Spring fills new BERR position

Ambitious lobbyist Neil Spring has leapt into the public sector, landing a newly created position at the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR).
Spring, who featured in PRWeek's '29 under 29' feature in 2006, is to quit his role as senior account manager in Edelman's public affairs practice. At BERR, he will be one of two new strategic comms team leaders.
The posts were created after a refocusing of two existing vacant positions to give more weight to the strategic communications roles.
Spring said he was ambitious for 'higher levels of responsibility' when speaking to PRWeek in June 2006.
