Scottish water firm turns to BIG

The BIG Partnership has won a five way shoot-out to land an account with a Scottish water company Business Stream.
The Scottish PR agency is tasked with raising the company’s profile ahead of the deregulation of the water market for business customers next year.
As part of the deregulation, the supply of water and wastewater services to 130,000 business customers in Scotland will be opened to competition. Scottish Water will retain the assets and industry infrastructure and the responsibility for domestic supply, but will supply water and wastewater services wholesale to a range of licensed operators who will target business users in Scotland.
The agency was awarded the account following a competitive pitch against five undisclosed agencies.
The account will be headed up by BIG director Neil Gibson, with support from senior account director Bill Shaw and account manager, Barry McPherson.
