Bell Pottinger’s search service
David Quainton, PR Week UK, Thursday, 29 November 2007, 2:19pm,
The Bell Pottinger Group has created a company that will provide search engine optimisation (SEO) advice to firms as part of crisis management or within a more general comms offering.
The group has raided sister ad agency VCCP for its SEO outfit, and titled it Search Relations.
Bell Pottinger claims the firm, headed by MD Paul Mead, will link PR with SEO in a new way.
‘Previously, SEO has only been used to ensure a brand is high up on a search,’ said group chairman Kevin Murray.
‘We are turning the world’s biggest reputation-management tool – Google – into a crisis-management tool.’
