Freshwater nets Leeds shop Lynx
David Quainton, PR Week UK, Thursday, 08 November 2007, 12:33pm,
AIM-listed PR and marketing group Freshwater has made its first acquisition since listing in July.
The Cardiff-based company has bought ten-year-old Leeds-based Lynx PR.
Ten-strong Lynx currently acts for a number of clients in the utilities sector, including National Grid, high-street bank Halifax and Yorkshire Electricity Distribution.
‘The aim is eventually to integrate Lynx into the Freshwater Northern family, in keeping with the group’s policy of operating under a single brand, and the Lynx team will be a vital part of Freshwater’s future,’ said Freshwater CEO Steve Howell.
Freshwater appeared at 63 in this year’s PRWeek Top 150 UK consultancies list, with a fee income of more than £3m – an 87 per cent improvement on last year.
