Text 100 wins Copan brief
PR Week UK, Wednesday, 12 September 2007, 6:00pm,
Text 100 has added to its enterprise IT portfolio with a data storage account win.
The tech agency has won a brief from Copan Systems, a US company that uses the MAID (Massive Array of Idle Disks) platform to store data.
‘It’s a nice win for us,’ said Text 100 MD Nick Giles. ‘Data storage is a very fast-growing sector.’
Copan Systems secured £28m of venture capital last year, and is backed by investors including Credit Suisse.
The company received endorsement from utilities giant Pacific Gas and Electric earlier this year for its energy-efficient Cool Bytes programme, a green data storage system four years in the making.
Text 100 beat Weber Shandwick to a £120,000 account with IT consultancy Gartner in early 2007 (PRWeek, 9 February 2007).
