The season of giving is upon us once again, but for those of you who might be tempted to take advantage of the situation by casually snogging as many people as possible at all those office parties, consider this: Brits, apparently, aren't very good at it.
According to oral expert Lance Derrick, Brits have the sloppiest tongues in Europe - something to do with their stiff upper lips and rigid facial expressions. But thankfully our continental cousins over at Pernod are feeling particularly philanthropic this Christmas, and have come to the rescue with an 'oral aerobics kit'.
The kit consists of a 'Tongue Gym' - a range of tongue barbells and a waterproof instruction booklet (so devotees can 'exercise' in the shower).
Pernod promises those who follow the training programme will see improvements in tongue dexterity and agility within days.
Of course, no oral aerobics kit would be complete without a miniature bottle of Pernod. Our French friends recommend a swig of the aniseed-flavoured spirit before exercising, as its natural astringents make for a refreshed mouth.
'Fancy an oral aerobics kit?' doesn't have quite the same ring as 'Fancy a snog?', but you can get one by phoning 070 7188 1272. A tongue gym, that is.
