Yves Saint Laurent has said it stands by its banned poster featuring Sophie Dahl, claiming it was 'purely meant to emphasise the spirit of Opium, which is a provocative and sensual fragrance'. YSL also said the ad, which resulted in more than 700 complaints to the ASA, was not intended to offend. The Dahl posters will be removed, and a new campaign featuring the perfume bottle is now running until Christmas.
