AOL prepares for summer relaunch
Media Week, Media Week, Tuesday, 17 July 2007, 12:00am,
AOL is gearing up for a summer relaunch of its European portal that will see it roll out 14 localised sites and attempt to develop AOL Radio into a major media destination.
AOL Europe chief executive Dana Dunne told Media Week he has spent his first four months in the job developing technologies that will make AOL's portal into one favoured by consumers and advertisers across the continent.
He said that AOL will make more use of Ajax technologies than rival portals, increasing its interactive features, adding that AOL Radio will become an aggregator of internet radio stations.
