Letter - Whelan's weekly Tory taunts get tiresome
PR Week UK, Friday, 22 June 2007, 12:00am,
How lucky is Charlie Whelan that he has a weekly opportunity to undermine the Conservative Party?
Last week's column about David Cameron (15 June) was a classic example. Frankly, I don't know why Cameron bothers with the Daily Mirror. It doesn't do considered debate, and it could never be magnanimous to its opponents. Cameron can't win here, and I really do wonder what the point is of wasting one's time trying to woo an organisation whose attitude towards you is so shallow. It is set in stone, come what may.
With regard to Cameron being a Tory toff, so what if he went to Eton? Good luck to him. It's not a crime, is it?
