The United Kingdom has a strong showing in the final shortlist for the Press Category at the Cannes Lion 2007 advertising festival.
Seven agencies have managed to shortlist a total of 28 entries from an initial list of thousands.
DDB London is by far and away the most short-listed agency with 14 separate entries for Marmite, Volkswagen, Harvey Nichols (for which it has nine separate entries) and The Financial Times.
The next most short-listed UK agency is Saatchi & Saatchi London with six entries, three for Olay and three for Carlsberg.
Wieden & Kennedy's "St Wayne", the winner of both the Campaign Press and the Campaign Poster awards, is also on the list.
The remaining short-listed UK agencies are Lowe London, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Bartle Bogle Hergarty and JWT.
