Metro promotes two of its directors

Metro has promoted two senior members of staff to the newly created position of assistant managing director, reporting to managing director Steve Auckland.
Marketing director Karen Wall and financial director Richard Mead will take on new responsibilities in addition to their existing roles. Mead will be in charge of overseas ventures and Wall will be responsible for UK business development including marketing, recruitment, public relations and research.
Auckland said the pair "typified the Metro spirit and brand". He is now looking for an executive director of sales to oversee the sales team.
