Fuse SPORT signs up for supercasino

LONDON - The company behind Manchester's proposed super-casino has signed up a sponsorship agency to develop marketing initiatives focused on sport.
Fuse SPORT, a Manchester-based agency that specialises in sports media and experiential marketing, will help create a calendar of sports evenings where the city's sporting heroes will mingle with casino guests.
The sportsmans' evenings are to involve the screening of a large sporting event, where a local team or sportsman is competing, such as a Ricky Hatton title fight or United winning the treble.
Manchester was selected as the site of Britain's first super-casino in January, beating rival bidders including Blackpool and the Millennium Dome in Greenwich.
Known as Manchester 235, the 5,000 square metre super-casino will have up to 1,250 unlimited jackpot gaming machines, a multi-purpose arena, a swimming pool, an urban sports venue, restaurants, bars, a nightclub and a hotel.
However, the plan is subject to parliamentary approval and faced a setback in March when the House of Lords voted 123 to 120 against siting of the casino.
