The Advertising Standards Authority is launching its first cinema
ad for 15 years, as part of a campaign to reassure the public that the
industry is being policed effectively.
The campaign, created by Mellors Reay to coincide with the ASA’s 35th
anniversary, also includes press and poster executions with a new
strapline, ’If an ad misleads, we’re here to stamp it out’.
The cinema ad is a spoof beauty product commercial making exaggerated
claims. All the ads run on donated space.
