Loyalty launch

September. Carlson and Start are shortlisted in the UK, but the service

provider is also seeing agencies in Paris and Brussels.

Strawberry fares

Le Shuttle is targeting travel agents with packs of freeze-dried ‘space-

age’ strawberries to coincide with the start of Wimbledon. The promotion

is designed to reflect Le Shuttle’s space-mission TV campaign and to

The Federation Brewery, whose products include Keoghans Ale, has

appointed the Media Brokerage to promote its portfolio to public and

trade audiences.

Tactical trains

The Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC) has appointed

Carlson to create and manage promotional activity for the network card.

Distant Cozens

Sales-promotion agency Tequila has parted company with new business

director Jackie Cozens. Managing director Jane Asscher has taken over

the role while the company ‘considers its options’.

Child’s play

says children have higher levels of advertising literacy than parents.

Tennent’s Lager is rolling out new ads for TV titled ‘Romeo and JulieT’

by the Leith Agency. The ads were originally entitled Kama SuTra but the

caption was banned by the Broadcast Advertising Clearance Centre.

Summer Taboo

Taboo is airing new TV ads this summer, with a pounds 600,000 campaign

through Delaney Fletcher Bozell. The ads will target 18- to 35-year-old

women and use the strapline, ‘All the way from wherever you want’.

Business role

Robert Schrijver has been appointed vice-chairman of global business

development at marketing and communications firm Siegal & Gale.

Rowenta on TV

Rowenta is launching a pounds 750,000 national TV campaign from August

1. The ads were designed by Foote Cone Belding.

Correction

Mercury Communications has been in the data-services market since 1984,

not 1994 as reported in a news story in last week’s Marketing.
