UCAS turns to SiX for online launch
Hannah Marriott, PR Week UK, Wednesday, 21 February 2007, 6:00pm,
UCAS Media - a subsidiary of the university admissions service - has briefed Lexis PR's youth division SiX to help launch a website.
SiX associate director Lucy Freeborn said yougofurther.co.uk will go live in April.
She added: ‘UCAS starts talking to students at around 16, but often those conversations stop once they start their first year of university.
‘This site will help UCAS have a longer relationship with students - those on a gap year, for example. It will offer advice on topics such as housing, and will feature special deals on products including mobile phones.'
Freeborn said the site would also facilitate link-ups with blue-chip firms planning to target students.
SiX beat two other agencies to the account.
