Shell loses Everett to Threadneedle Investments
David Quainton, PR Week UK, Wednesday, 14 February 2007, 6:30pm,
LONDON: Shell International's head of corporate identity is leaving to take the top communications role at Britain's fourth-largest investment fund manager.
Judy Everett will become head of communications at Threadneedle Investments. She starts in April when incumbent Richard Eats retires.
Everett will have overall responsibility for the communication of the Threadneedle brand, products and services, with a brief to promote the brand internationally. She will report to marketing director Denis Tumbult.
He said: ‘Threadneedle's business continues to expand in retail, institutional and alternative investment markets. We have been looking for a communications professional with strong international experience and a real sense of how to take the management of our brand forward.'
No one at Shell was available to comment.
SEPARATELY... Shell has appointed a former adviser to Ann Widdecombe as a media officer. Adam Newton was also a member of Michael Ancram's Conservative leadership campaign team in 2001.
