Comet prepares to usher in H&K
PR Week UK, Wednesday, 31 January 2007, 7:30pm,
Electrical retailer Comet is poised to sign up Hill & Knowlton to an account believed to be worth at least £200,000.
It is not clear how the appointment will affect Comet’s Huntsworth plc owned incumbent EHPR.
Windsor-based EHPR did not return PRWeek’s calls. Comet and H&K both declined to comment Comet exceeded City expectations over Christmas, when its sales rose by almost eight per cent. This beat rival high-street chain Currys – the DSG International-owned firm reported one per cent growth during the same period.
Comet is owned by retail conglomerate Kesa Electricals.
