ViewPoint - Fiona Hall
PR Week UK, Wednesday, 31 January 2007, 7:30pm,
Chandler Chicco Agency European MD of operations Fiona Hall argues that the ABPI's tighter code of practice requires PR agencies to adopt 'a fresh way of thinking and new approach to external audiences'.
In her video-clip for PRWeek, Hall details how the 2005 Health Committee review into 'The Influence of the Pharmaceutical Industry', and new ABPI code - introduced last year - have had a 'significant' impact on health comms.
Clients, she says, have become 'cautious' and agencies are facing 'extended approval times'.
Hall adds: 'It is no longer enough for agencies to rely purely on being told by their clients that some activity isn't appropriate under the code. The agency team should be advising the client'.
