Media Trust guide focuses on youth
PR Week UK, Wednesday, 31 January 2007, 7:30pm,
The Media Trust has launched an interactive guide for charities looking to reach young people.
‘Communication for the next generation’ is a free 185-page interactive guide with ‘practical tips and straight-talking advice’. It covers communication channels such as networking websites.
The trust offers media advice to charities and hopes the guide will help the sector build brand loyalty among young people.
Contributors include Helena Bloomer from Weber Shandwick’s consumer marketing arm SLAM, Nuts senior writer Pete Cashmore and Heat editor Mark Frith. They also include MySpace Europe SV-P of marketing and content Jamie Kantrowitz, Metro editor Kenny Campbell, and Trouble and Challenge channel controller Celia Taylor.
The guide is published on mediatrust.org/youthmedia.
ALSO... The Media Trust has teamed up with the Cabinet Office and Geronimo Communications to run a volunteer workshop day aimed at small London charities.
