Suzanne Robinson has joined J N Nichols (Vimto) as group market intelligence manager. Moving from dairy manufacturers, Edenvale, Robinson’s role will be to consolidate market information and provide a proactive response to research for the successful planning of the future Vimto brand strategy.

Mark Williams has joined Wacks Caller solicitors in Manchester as
marketing director, bringing 15 years mainline marketing experience to
the firm.
Catering equipment, banqueting and furniture hire company, Jongor Hire
has recently made Keith Adams, former MD of Catering Concern and
operations director of ABM Catering, regional sales director. He will
have overall responsibility for sales development in the South of
England. Bruce Birchall is sales and marketing director for the newly-
created exhibition, conference and commercial section.
Taylor Nelson AGB has recruited Dorothy Knightley from IMS where she was
managing director of their UK and Irish organisations as their new group
development director. Her role will be to expand activities across all
aspects of the group’s business, including international.
Securicor Cellular Services has made Brendan Press its new market
planning manager. Joining from Cellnet’s industry development team, his
role will be to ensure that tactical marketing objectives are in harmony
with the broader strategic goals of the company.
Ashridge, the Hertfordshire-based centre for management and
organisational development, has appointed three new marketing
specialists to its faculty: Judith Court, previously European marketing
manager for Griffith Laboratories, is an expert in European sales and
marketing strategies; Narendra Laljani, previously general manager with
ICI India, has also been a visiting professor at the University of
Bombay, and has expertise in marketing strategy development and
implementation in industrial product environments. Doris Sew Hoy,
previously markets development manager and head of internal
communications for the London Stock Exchange, has also joined. She has
expertise in organisational aspects of strategic marketing formulation
and implementation.
Crosslee, the Yorkshire-based manufacturer of tumble dryers, barbecues
and focal point fires, has taken on two marketing executives, Sarah
Godfrey, export executive, and Paula Haigh, marketing executive. The
company promoted Andy Mellor to account manager from regional sales
manager.
Barco has recruited Martin Howe, who was major accounts manager, systems
division at Electrosonic, to take over from Blair Parkin. Parkin has
been promoted to marketing manager, projection systems, Barco Asia.
Sanchi Heesom has moved from her post as assistant director, external
relations at the Royal National Institute for the Blind to the newly-
created role of marketing services manager at Burnett Associates using
her experience in both the charity and commercial sectors to add value
and breadth to existing client services.
Christian Leroy has joined Landor Associates’ London office as executive
director responsible for project management and business development in
the Nordic region including Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. He was
previously with Holtug, Auden & Associates in Copenhagen.
Hugh Scotchbrook has joined Oxfordshire-based Genesis RMS as account
manager, moving from Maximum Marketing Solutions bringing extensive
marketing and sales promotion skills which will be utilised with a
number of key accounts. Also joining is Barclays Bank’s print buyer, Lee
Bevan, as traffic manager, responsible for all traffic systems.
Lane Clark & Peacock, consulting actuaries, has appointed Terri-Ann
Humphreys, formerly with Thames Television and BP Oil, as its first
marketing manager. Her role is to oversee every aspect of the firm’s
marketing activity, including corporate communications.
Publisher Ziff-Davis UK has promoted Ian Richardson to advertisement
director of PC Direct magazine. He has been with the company since 1991
and was promoted to key account manager on PC Direct. He then moved up
to become key account and business development director on the same
title.
Les Wilcock has been appointed as business development and marketing
manager for Leeds based Baan UK. He joins the enterprise resource
planning (ERP) company from KPMG where he was head of strategy and
marketing management consultant.
