Axon poaches Redwood publisher for commercial role

Customer magazine publisher Axon Publishing has hired Stuart Charlton, a former publisher at Redwood, as its first commercial director.
Charlton will work across Axon's entire portfolio, which includes magazines and catalogues such as Your M&S Home for Marks & Spencer and Live It for Conran. Other clients include the Really Useful Group, Cala Homes and the Horticultural Trades Association.
He will be responsible for all aspects of new business generation, as well as overseeing Axon's publishing strategy and allocation of resources.
Charlton was at Redwood for five years, most recently as publisher of the NSPCC's Your Family Magazine and also worked on Marks & Spencer's flagship title, Your M&S.
He has also held publishing roles at BBC Magazines and IPC, where he worked on Loaded, the NME and several sports magazines.
