Severn Trent turns to Leam Spa outfit
David Quainton, PR Week UK, Wednesday, 06 December 2006, 7:00pm,
Severn Trent Water has appointed Leamington Spa-based agency Summersault to advise on its internal comms strategy.
The outfit, a specialist in internal comms, will design, edit and print Severn Trent Water magazine, advise on internal comms strategy and also a rebranding of internal comms materials.
The agency said it would use a ‘broad mixture of business news and chat' within the magazine, which is designed to ‘inspire' staff.
Severn Trent is the world's fourth-largest privately owned water company. It serves more than eight million customers in the East Midlands, mid-Wales and Bristol Channel area.
Severn Trent is one of three water companies that Ofwat intends to penalise for leaks. The watchdog recently gained extra powers via the Water Industry Act.
Alongside Southern Water and Thames Water, up to ten per cent of Severn Trent's turnover could be under threat - a possible loss of up to £100m - from fines and other charges.
