Columbus ups European team with two key roles

Columbus Media International, the BLM group's overseas arm, has expanded its European team with the hiring of international staff from ZenithOptimedia and Carat in two new roles.
Gillian Chandisingh joins as international account manager, with responsibility for overseeing existing client business, and will work alongside managing director Kate Williams to develop the network and generate new business.
Previously, Chandisingh was account manager on Philips Global at Carat International and also worked as a senior planner at OMD/PHD across a variety of international accounts including Masterfoods, The Economist, ICI Paints and Intercontinental Hotels Group.
Dara Hallinan joins as inter- national media executive, supporting Chandisingh and Williams.
A trained lawyer, Hallinan was previously press planning and buying executive at Zed and Zenith- Optimedia, working for clients including MBNA, Zurich, Lexus and World Vision.
Williams said: "Gillian and Dara are high-calibre account handlers who are the foundations for our new business push in the New Year."
