Mediaedge:cia appoints Emap editor for new marketing role

WPP-owned media agency Mediaedge:cia has appointed Tim Collison, former editor and publisher of Emap's trade magazine, Media & Marketing Europe, to the newly created role of marketing partner, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Collison will report to the agency's EMEA chief executive, Mel Varley, and EMEA business development director, Keith Tiley.
On joining next month, Collison will be charged with overseeing the development of marketing strategies to support the agency's business development throughout the region and within the specialist business units, MEC Interaction and MEC Sponsorship.
Mediaedge:cia announced yesterday that it had restructured its senior management in the UK and had promoted managing director Tom George to the post of UK chief executive.
