Amazon secures MOVE Europe role
PR Week UK, Thursday, 19 October 2006, 12:00am,
Disability charity MOVE Europe has hired its first agency to handle its UK communications.
Amazon PR has been briefed to raise the charity's profile with a view to giving it more clout with local authorities, teachers and health professionals.
The Vodafone UK Foundation has supported the charity for the past three years, but the partnership is coming to an end and MOVE is keen to find other corporate partners.
The charity helps severely disabled people with their mobility in a bid to improve their independence, education and health. Amazon will target national, regional and trade media, and is organising an event at the House of Lords on 1 November.
The MOVE Programme is run by specialist trainers, who work alongside disabled children's carers.
