Labour 'too quiet' in Cameron fight
PR Week UK, Thursday, 28 September 2006, 12:00am,
Health minister Andy Burnham has called on his party to 'get cleverer' in taking on Conservative leader David Cameron.
Speaking at a Progress fringe event in Manchester, he said Labour had been ‘too silent' [sic] on Cameron, whom he believed ‘has had an unbelievably easy ride from the media'.
Ian Austin MP added: ‘The big mistake we made in jeopardising trust was getting into a battle with the BBC' over Andrew Gilligan's report on the Iraq dossier.
