LLM grabs Amey public service job
PR Week UK, Thursday, 31 August 2006, 12:00am,
Support services group Amey has enlisted LLM Communications as its retained PA adviser to boost its public services credentials.
Originally a construction company, Amey now provides infrastructure, IT, property and other support services for companies and government agencies.
‘We are working with a newly formed unit called Amey Strategic Development, set up to develop new business opportunities in the public sector,' explained LLM co-founder and director Ben Lucas, who leads the account.
He added that it would position the firm as a ‘thought leader in regional transport policy, educationtransformation and development of PFI and PPP schemes'.
Three years ago, Amey became part of Spanish group Ferrovial, which this summer acquired British Airports Authority. Edelman handles the company's PR account and previously provided PA advice on a project basis.
