computers and bikes hands down.
Clothes, footwear and accessories accounted for 60% of the desired
items, according to advertising agency J. Walter Thompson which
conducted a research panel with 60 kids.
The top five boys’ presents were clothes, Power Rangers, computers,
bikes and football accessories.
The top five for girls were clothes, Barbie, music systems, bikes and
TVs. The boys and girls in the research were aged between four and 13.
Among younger girls (four to eight years), Barbie was the number one
request with 43% asking for the doll as a present. Rival Sindy hardly
