Ex-MS&L boss set to join Bray Leino team
Ian Hall, PR Week UK, Thursday, 20 July 2006, 12:00am,
Manning Selvage & Lee's former UK health supremo Sally Bradford is to join Bray Leino, a regional marcoms agency based in the South-West with little pedigree in healthcare PR.
Bradford – whose resignation from MS&L was broken by PRWeek two months ago (PRWeek, 26 May) – will start at Bray Leino in Bristol in four weeks as head of consumer and healthcare PR, a new role.
The agency's MD of PR, Roberta Fuke, said: ‘We have been contemplating the launch of a health practice for a while.'
Bray Leino, whose HQ is in Devon but which also has offices in Cardiff, St Andrews and London, has more than 200 staff, around 25 of whom are in its PR arm.
The group handles healthcare advertising business for Bausch & Lomb, Dendron, Lilly and Sanofi-Pasteur – but its only health-related PR business is for skin-cream brand Hygieia. Upon Bradford's arrival, the agency will look to expand into pharma PR.
Bradford spent around a decade at MS&L. In her earlier years at the agency she specialised in consumer comms work.
MS&L's global healthcare director, Anne Hyder, has returned to the US just a year after relocating from San Francisco to London. She is now working for MS&L in New York City.
Heading the other way across the Atlantic is account director Alexis Pagoulatos, who will start at MS&L London next month.
