JCDecaux is to line key travel routes in Tameside, Manchester, with giant T-shaped structures featuring scrolling, backlit 48-sheet sites.

The installation of the specially-created billboards follows JCDecaux's Tameside contract win for 15 years.

The firm has also won the contract for Redbridge, in London, for five years. The Redbridge win, which will help JCDecaux become the major billboard provider in East London, will see the firm develop scrolling and static panels on new sites in the borough.

"Billboards continue to be a growing part of our business. These wins demonstrate JCDecaux's commitment to extending its high-quality large format portfolio and the investment we are making in this area in the UK," said Lawrence Haines, JCDecaux's MD of large format.

Meanwhile, Lisa De Roche has joined JCDecaux from the corporate executive board as senior research executive and Kasia Suswillo has joined the outdoor owner from Carlton Screen Advertising as communications manager.
