Emap TV sales director takes on radio remit

Emap Advertising has expanded TV sales director Darren Khan’s remit to include the new role of head of radio at Emap², the company’s cross-platform division.
Khan will head all radio sponsorship and promotions and TV sales across Magic, Heat radio, Mojo radio, as well as TV stations Q, The Box and The Hits.
His move into radio follows the departure of sponsorship and promotions head Adam Roland at the end of March.
Khan will keep his wider role of directing all TV sales at Emap Advertising and managing external sales arrangements.
He will manage a team of 22 sponsorship and promotions staff, reporting into broadcast and interactive sales director, Karen Stacey, who will continue to oversee all radio sales.
This is the first time the TV and radio sponsorship and promotions teams have been managed together at Emap. Stacey said: "Advertisers are increasingly booking broadcast solutions across both platforms and it is with this in mind that this new team has been created - to offer ideas-led engagement across Emap's broadcast brands."
