Four takes sports community brief
PR Week UK, Thursday, 20 April 2006, 12:00am,
Sporting Equals, a national initiative created to promote racial equality in sport, has brought in Four Communications as its first PR agency.
Funded by Sport England and the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE), Sporting Equals was formed last year and now wants to raise its profile.
Its Sport for Communities project has recently been awarded £2m from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister to promote sport within ethnic minority, refugee and migrant communities. Four has been briefed to create a corporate identity for the body.
Sporting Equals comms manager Hayley Meachin said: 'We were looking for a team that could deliver our message to a diverse audience.' For more information go to www.cre.gov.uk/speqs.
