Safer streets
PR Week UK, Thursday, 30 March 2006, 12:00am,
Crimestoppers PR team is joining up with the Home Office to run a regional anti-gun-crime campaign.
The one-month drive rolls out this week, targeting regional press and broadcast media. It will focus on areas with both high levels of gun crime and a population keen to help identify criminals. These include Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
More than 70 people were arrested last year as a result of 1,176 gun-crime-related calls made to Crimestoppers.
