Nelson heads Nexus Financial launch

Nexus Financial is operating as a separate profit centre alongside its parent's B2B PR arm Nexus Structured Communications. Nelson, who is also a former member of College Hill's life sciences division, joined this month and takes charge of a two-strong team.

Whereas the Nexus group has traditionally concentrated on healthcare, the new team is handling work from several industry sectors. Its current clients are quoted advertising group Ekay, military and telecoms computer manufacturer Concurrent Technologies, and food distribution group Lennox Holdings.

Nexus Structured Communications has sought to diversify its portfolio of investments in recent years. Early this year its Jersey-based PINE Fund bought two Hertfordshire nurseries for £2m from nursery operator Busy Bees.
