Diary: Lee attracts Cherie to agency launch

Mike Lee is still beaming with pride after attracting an impressive crowd to the launch event for his agency Vero Communications.
Diary enjoyed mingling with triple-jumper Jonathan Edwards, Prince Charles's PR man Paddy Harverson and Omnicom big cheese Anthony Wreford at last week's bash in Covent Garden's plush St Martin's Lane Hotel.
But the undoubted head-turner was Cherie Blair, who was asked to say a few words by the former London 2012 comms supremo.
With Cherie gushing, Lee was blushing and - lest party-goers should wonder how chummy they had got during the pre-2012 vote run-in - the PM's wife quickly joked that she was even closer to Lee's wife.
