Max Clifford: is lying justified?
PR Week UK, Thursday, 02 March 2006, 12:00am,
Max Clifford this week threw down the gauntlet to PRWeek readers to debate his style of PR.
'Come and have a go at me – in person – and let's establish just how far removed I am from the real professionals working in the industry,' he said.
His challenge follows a series of letters in PRWeek triggered by what Clifford described as 'off-the-cuff' remarks in an analysis. The article asked how PROs could advise stars concerned about possible media reaction to their sexuality (PRWeek, 3 February).
Clifford was quoted in the article as saying: 'If an editor came to me with a rentboy selling his story, I'd provide a stunning woman and make it look like a threesome.'
PRWeek is willing to host the debate, but we need participants. Please email meet.
