Media News: CNBC fills top job with Time chief

CNBC Europe, the business and financial TV channel, has hired Gary Groenheim as head of marketing.
Groenheim joins from Time magazine, where he was senior marketing manager. He will be responsible for CNBC Europe's advertising and marketing, working alongside its sales teams in London, Paris and Frankfurt on global initiatives.
Groenheim will report to Charlotte Blenkinsop, the company's vice-president of marketing communications.
While at Time, Groenheim was responsible for forging the title's partnership with the World Economic Forum.
His previous roles include international account planner on the pan-European accounts for Nike, Coca-Cola and AltaVista at ad agency Wieden & Kennedy.
CNBC Europe has a daily reach of 446,000, according to the European Media & Marketing Survey.
