C4 group readies multimedia drive
PR Week UK, Thursday, 19 January 2006, 12:00am,
Channel 4’s non-TV arm 4Ventures has brought in PR support as it looks to expand its reach into online and mobile media.
The broadcaster is anxious not to lose out on lucrative markets opened up by advances in technology, such as multimedia platforms.
Paratus Communications is on a trade and consumer brief to reinforce the C4 brand beyond TV and promote its programming style.
Set up in 2001, 4Ventures originally handled C4's digital channels Film Four and E4, plus commercial rights division 4Rights. It now focuses exclusively on digital and multimedia markets.
