Fuji first for Maher
Fuji first for Maher
Maher Bird Associates has unveiled the first work for Fuji’s Advanced
Photo System since its parent Simons Palmer Clemmow Johnson won the
business in September.
Brylcreem push
Shilland & Co has been appointed by Sara Lee to carry out a consumer
media campaign targeting men for the Brylcreem hair-care range.
Vodka cocktail
Smirnoff is to run its first integrated through-the-line campaign at
Christmas, linking an on-trade promotion by Pulse, PR by the Berners
Place Consultancy and a pounds 1m ad campaign by Lowe Howard-Spink.
Lifestyles surveyed
Over 3.6 million people responded to the 20 million lifestyle
questionnaires sent out by ICD last month. The data will be on ICD’s
database by December.
J&J plugs in kids
Johnson & Johnson is launching a TV ad for its new electric toothbrush
for kids: the Reach Powerbrush. The ad was created by McCann-Erickson.
Independent’s day
Pillsbury UK has appointed AIM, the direct marketing consultancy, to
carrry out a distribution-building campaign to promote Haagen-Dazs to
the independent retail sector.
Door-to-door punches
Punch is to launch a combined telemarketing and door-to-door
distribution campaign to raise subscriptions in the run-up to Christmas.
The campaign, through Taylor Nelson AGB and MRM Distribution, will start
in mid-November.
Screen-saving agency
A new agency, Imitron, has been set up to deal exclusively with
electronic media, offering services such as screen savers and CD-ROMs.
Banking on holidays
Thomas Cook Financial Services has appointed Communicator to handle its
below-the-line activity. A pounds 400,000 campaign will run through
banks in summer 1997.
In the soup
Campbells is to launch its condensed Vegetable Blends with a new TV
campaign, as part of its total pounds 4.2m airtime spend this autumn.
The push will be supported by a press campaign in a range of women’s
magazines.
Ad Fab Xmas video
Warner is about to release the ultimate Christmas video for advertising
fans. Ad Fab, narrated by John Peel, features classic ads including
Hovis, John Smith’s and Nick Park’s Creature Comforts electricity ads.
Tribute to Leiderman
A tribute to direct marketing luminary Robert Leiderman, who died
recently after a long illness, is to be held on November 28 at the Royal
Garden Hotel, Kensington at 11am. Fax the Direct Marketing Association
