Freshwater plans healthcare move
PR Week UK, Thursday, 05 January 2006, 12:00am,
Freshwater UK, the rapidly expanding PR and marketing group, has set its sights on acquiring a healthcare PR agency within 18 months.
'We want to create a regional network with all major specialisms in PR – health is a growing sector,' said CEO Steve Howell.
Howell is yet to hold discussions with any healthcare agencies but told PRWeek he wanted to speak to 'people who are ambitious to develop their business by being part of a larger group'.
The Cardiff-headquartered agency is on something of an acquisition spree, having last month bought six-strong London consumer lifestyle shop Trew Relations.
Other agencies Freshwater has acquired in the past 14 months include Glasgow's Reekie PR and Birmingham's Quantum PR.
The company now has around 50 staff spread across six offices.
